I am honored to serve on the board as secretary for the Marie A Wells Arts and Education Center Inc. The reason why I wanted to be a part of MAW is because I am passionate about the the Arts and Education especially when it is used to nurture young minds.
Minister Herbert Bond, Jr., Treasurer
I support M.A.W. because it's a great program for low-income families that helps enroll children in federal programs, and groups that teach job and life skills to impoverished families. M.A.W. helps communities hold fund-raisers to benefit it's children and families and helping parents feel more confident about their caregiving skills, teaching them how to better interact with their children, and connecting them to community resources that serve families. I believe the students in M.A.W. programs are less likely to be in trouble with the law, better able to resist peer pressure, and more likely to attend college than their peers.
